Bob Lynch Boxing Foundation Home
Bob Lynch created a boxing legacy right here in Madison, Wisconsin. The hard work and determination he modeled and taught throughout his life is carried on by the Bob Lynch Boxing Foundation and Head Coach Andrea Nelson.
Creating contenders
Our boxing club operates out of Ford’s Gym. We welcome all types of boxers, whether you’re interested in trying out boxing to get in shape, learning a few moves, getting in the ring, or competing.
Here’s how you can get involved, lace up, and get some work in:
- Boxing Fundamentals class, a basic skills-building class held Mondays from 7-8 p.m.
- Techniques for Competition Boxing class, an intermediate class where you apply the fundamentals and learn the boxer’s workout, held Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
- Advanced and competition sparring, a time to practice your skills with controlled, live training, held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-6:30 p.m.
- Personal boxing training, one-on-one sessions with Head Coach Andrea Nelson or Assistant Coach Marcus Johnson
Boxing has a way of drawing people in with constant opportunity for growth. Ready to join us?

Giving local boxers national opportunities
By bringing the Golden Gloves state tournament to Wisconsin, the Bob Lynch Boxing Foundation has paved the way for local boxers to get to the national stage. Each year, state champions head to the National Golden Gloves Tournament thanks to the foundation’s fundraising efforts.
